I know it seems a little late for me, considering I just started college, but this fall I have my first real job. In the middle of the pandemic, I am working in retail at a really nice clothing store in my hometown, and I love the clothing I worked with! As much as learn at my job, there are a lot of downsides to working in retail, including, the fear of illness, worries of commission quotas, and the sometimes rude customers.  Something I never thought I would have to deal with is co-worker drama...
This weekend I was supposed visit my cousin in Texas for her wedding. Given the pandemic, the wedding and our trip was cancelled!!! At first I was too upset to talk about it.  Why couldn't we travel-I was feeling fine?  Then my cousins called and asked us to have a dance party using Zoom instead....
As summer draws to a close, many of you are probably nervous, or excited, or dreading the first day of school. There's a lot that goes into preparing for school: new supplies, clothing, classes, people, haircuts... and that's just the beginning of the list!...
Let me tell you about my walk to work. I leave my apartment, and then walk past a few hotels. After a couple blocks, I begin to pass by almost every expensive store in the entire city. My neighbors are famous shoe designer Jimmy Choo, Prada, and jewelry store David Yurman...
This is the first summer I'm spending away from my hometown! I'm so excited to be living in a big city full of fun things to do. I can walk to a ton of restaurants and stores, and let's just say that my parents aren't too happy with the shopping bill I've accumulated. Although it's really fun to be in the center of all the action in a city, it can be a little frightening too...
I just finished my last couple finals this previous week, and I feel amazing. It's finally summer, which means shopping, relaxing, and binge watching Orange is the New Black. Summer is a time to forget about school, tests, and homework, right?...
