PMS, or Premenstrual Syndrome, consists of the physical and emotional feelings a girl experiences before her menstrual cycle. Most women feel physical or mood changes during the days before their menstrual period. When these changes affect normal life, they are known as PMS. About 80 percent of woman get PMS.
You may have some or none of these symptoms, and how you feel may vary from month to month. It usually occurs 10 days before her actual period and ends when the bleeding starts. Some symptoms of PMS are bloating, sore breasts, moodiness, stress, anxiety, headaches, and tiredness. Some things that can bring on stronger PMS symptoms include a high caffeine intake, stress, getting older, having a family history of depression, and a poor diet.
